This feature will allow the manager/staff to add a network printer and choose whether for receipt or order slip. Prior to this step, it is important to have the IP Address of your kitchen or receipt printer. If using a new printer, reconfigure the printer as needed.
Printers can be connected through:
- Network via LAN/Wi-FI
- Bluetooth
Printer Types:
- Receipt Printing
Prints transaction receipts for Sell On Pos, Top-up, and Return modules
(If selected receipt printing only, the printer will only print receipts from the device)
- Order Slip Printing:
Prints order of the guest for the kitchen
(If selected order slip printing only, the printer will only print order slip from the device)
*Note that if both receipt and order slip are both selected, the printer will print the receipt first and then the order slip.
Paper Size:
- 57mm
- 58mm
- 76mm
- 80mm
For Network via LAN/Wi-Fi
You can connect a network printer by searching for the printer IP Address and following below steps:
- Choose the type of connection you want to establish between the device app and printer.
- Enter the printer's IP Address then click connect.
- Name the chosen printer faster identification
- Select Type of usage for the printer.
- If selected for Order Printing, select the printer profile.
- Select paper size
After you have selected the printer and select the function that it will be used for. The screen below will show while your device is connecting to the printer.
A successful device to printer connection will show the prompt message below. Click "Complete Set Up" to end the pairing process.
Error Message
- The printer is not connected to the Network where the device app is connected
- The printer Wifi is turned off
When there’s a connection problem between the venue app and the network printer, the screen below will show.
Tap "Retry", venue app will try to connect again with the network printer.
For Network Connection using Bluetooth
- Select Bluetooth as your mode of connection
- Select the desired available printer in the list.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that both Bluetooth on your device app and printer are turned on, discoverable, and in pairing mode
- Name the chosen printer faster identification
- Select Type of usage for the printer
- Select paper size
A successful device to printer connection will show the prompt message below. Click "Complete Set Up" to end the pairing process.
Error Message
- The printer is not connected to the device app via Bluetooth
- The printer Bluetooth is turned off
When there’s a connection problem between the venue app and the Bluetooth printer, below screen will show.
Tap "Retry", venue app will try to connect again with the Bluetooth printer.
Informations saved on a printer can be edited and updatedby a manager/staff.
